Celebrate Australia Day 2009 with us!
Australia Day is a chance for us to celebrate what's great about our nation. To help with the celebrations, 2CCR FM will be out and about in your community. We're doing three outside broadcasts, so it's a chance for you to come down and visit us, and see what we're all about.
You can find us in the big yellow bus at each of the venues - but you can also let your ears guide you to the great Aussie music which we'll be playing.
Parramatta Park
From 6am, we'll be at Parramatta Park, near the balloons where we'll be in on all the action. With 100% Aussie music playing, and plenty of free giveaways, Parramatta Park is the best place to be in the morning!
We'll also be interviewing heaps of people, including the mayor from a hot air balloon! Don't forget to come down, and get involved with all the action!
Merrylands Pool
Australia Day is bound to be a really hot day, so Merrylands is the best place to come to cool down, and have a great day. We'll be broadcasting live from the pool from 10am, with live crosses every ten minutes, keeping listeners up to date with the action. There's plenty of giveaways, great games at the pool, and even a chance to be heard on radio. To say hello, come down and look for us in the big yellow bus!
The Hills Shire Council
In the afternoon, from 3pm, you can find us joining in with the fun at The Hills Shire Council. There's a whole carnival happening, along with free entertainment, rides, and much more. We'll be interviewing heaps of people, and keeping you entertained with 100% Aussie music. Don't forget that we will also have free giveaways!
